Description:
the itinerary combines some of the best
points of interest with a 4 days cameltrekking in the
Acacus mountains, one of the most fascinating and
magnificent areas of Libya. They contain some of the
world's best examples of cave art, some dating back
12'000 years (Unesco World Culture Heritage).
Cameltrekking through this area of large dry wadis with
tenacious grass, some typical wild flowers and bushes,
here and there an acacia, bizarr rockformations and
black mountains bedded in gentle golden sand dunes is a
great adventure far
away from any civilisation. Visitors intensively
experience an untouched nature, enjoy the beauty of
silence interrupted only by the breath of the camels and
the low commands of the camel conductor, the colours of
magical dawns and sunsets, the gentle fire that warms
the cold desert nights, while you sleep beneath a tent
of stars, lit only by the silvery moon. It is here that
you must come to discover how man can live in total
symbiosis with his surroundings, respecting the
environment. Included in the intinerary are visits to
top highlights: the picturesque Ubari lakes,
Leptis Magna, Sabratha and Tripoli
